De John A. Lindseth Lewis Carroll Collection
Recent is de Lewis Carroll Collection van John A. Lindseth geschonken aan Christ Church College. De verzameling bevat manuscripten, foto’s en zeldzame edities van Carrolls werk. Hoogtepunten uit deze verzameling worden tot 17 april tentoongesteld in de Upper Library van Christ Church.

Alice’s Day
Op zaterdag 5 juli viert Oxford de traditionele Alice’s Day met diverse evenementen en lezingen. Het programma wordt t.z.t. bekend gemaakt op de site van het Story Museum: https://www.storymuseum.org.uk en (voor de lezingen) https://lewiscarrollsociety.org.uk.
Tentoonstelling werk Ralph Steadman
Van 15 februari tot 10 mei 2025 is in het Heath Robinson Museum een tentoonstelling te zien over het werk van Ralph Steadman: Ralph Steadman: INKling. De tentoonstelling bevat een overzicht van Steadmans werk geordend naar vier thema’s:
- zijn interpretaties van Alice in Wonderland, Animal Farm en Treasure Island.
- Illustraties van kinderboeken, van Fly Away Peter(1963) tot The Ralphabet (2023).
- Gonzovation: “A visually arresting series focusing on endangered species and environmental activism”.
- Gonzo Art, een samenwerking met de journalist Hunter S. Thompson.
Het Heath Robinson Museum is gelegen in Noord-West Londen (Pinner Memorial Park, West End Lane, Pinner HA5 1AE.

LCSNA Spring Conference 2025 – A Field Guide to Wonderland and Beyond Volume II
Op 26 april organiseert de LCSNA een online Spring Conference: “a full day of enlightening and entertaining talks on flora, fauna and the natural world in Lewis Carroll’s works”.
De conferentie begint om 10:00AM Pacific/ 1:00PM Eastern/ 6:00PM UK, dus 19.00 uur Nederlandse tijd.
De volgende sprekers zijn aangekondigd:
- Anna Kérchy (senior assistant professor in the English Department of the University of Szeged, Hungary): A Plunge into the Pool of Tears: Aquatic Enchantment in Lewis Carroll’s Alice Books.
- Mike Jay, (schrijver en cultuurhistoricus): Magic Mushrooms in Wonderland.
- Chris Riddell, (illustrator en politiek cartoonist): The Thursday Hippopotamus and What Really Happened to the Baker.
- Dayna Nuhn (redacteur van The Snarkologist): The Mystery of the Alice in Wonderland Puppy.
- Jennifer R. Gross (wetenschapper en kunstconservator): Wonderland: Curious Natureat the New York Botanical Garden.
- Brittani Allen, (PhD student, Cardiff University): Advice from a Caterpillar: Finding One’s Place in Nature in Gatty’s “A Lesson in Faith” and Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”.
