Bijeenkomsten

Op 6 december 2019 vierde het Britse genootschap zijn 50-jarig bestaan met “The Roger Lancelyn Green Memorial Lecture” van illustrator Chris Riddell: Chris Riddell in Wonderland: An Illistrator in Pursuit of Alice”.

De volgende bijeenkomst is op vrijdag 28 februari 2020. Het zal dan gaan over John Tenniel, die op 28 augustus jarig was. Zoals altijd is het aanvangstijdstip 19 uur (welkom vanaf 18.30 uur). De locatie is The Art Workers’s Guild (Gradidge Room), 6 Queen Square, Londen WC1N 3 AT.

Van 3 tot 9 februari 2020 wordt in het Royal Opera House een opera “Alice’s Adventures Underground” uitgevoerd. Zie: www.roh.org.uk

Van 27 juni 2020 tot 10 januari 2021 vindt in het Victoria & Albert Museum in Londen een tentoonstelling “Alice: Curiouser and curiouser” plaats. Dit is een uitgebreide versie van de recente tentoonstellingen in Australië en Singapore.
“ Exploring its origins, adaptations and reinventions over 157 years, this immersive and theatrical show charts the evolution of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland from manuscript to a global phenomenon beloved by all ages”.
